Parent Meeting and General Information

 

Important Dates

• November 12th: by 10:00 p.m., Cast Audition videos and Stage crew forms due

• November 15th: by 8:00 p.m., Callback results posted on PTO website

• November 19th: 3:45-5:45 p.m., Callbacks (Cafeteria stage)

• November 24th: by 4:00 p.m., Cast list posted on PTO website

• December 4th: Participation fee due

• January 19th & 21st: Costume Parade, will need base layers

• March 12th (Friday): **NO SCHOOL Full Day Mandatory Dress Rehearsal Both Casts & Stage Crew

  • Cast A 9:00-12:00 p.m.

  • Cast B 12:30-3:30 p.m.

• March 15th: Mandatory Full-dress rehearsal with sound

  • Cast A 3:30-6:00 p.m.

  • Cast B 6:00-8:30 p.m.

• March 16-17th: school performances (no parents)

• March 18-19th: 5:30 & 7:30 p.m., parent performances

• March 20th 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m., parent performances

Rehearsals

• All Rehearsals will be T/Th from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

• December Friday rehearsals from 1:30-3:00 p.m. for leads

• January Friday rehearsals from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for leads

• ALL Fridays in February from1:30-3:00 p.m. for everyone

• Leads will start rehearsing December 4th

• Full Cast starts Jan. 7th and 12th

• Stage Crew starts Thursday, Feb. 4th

Stage Crew

• 5th & 6th graders.

• 20 stage crew members (first come, first serve)

• Stage Crew sign up by Nov. 12th 10:00 p.m.

• Changes in stage crew this year

  • No set building but will help create a few props

  • Will be trained to run lights, curtains and set changes (dress rehearsal and performances)

• Every Thursday starting Feb. 4th

• Mandatory dress rehearsal & performance attendance

Participation Fee

• $50 for musical participants

• $40 for each additional sibling for the musical

• $25 for stage crew participants

• This fee covers the cost of costuming, musical rights, stage set, decorations and a cast t-shirt!

• Paid at burtonelementarypto.com under "play” tab --> "participation fee"

• Fee is due by Dec. 4th

• Tickets to the show will be sold online March 1st and are $5 each

 

Costumes

• Every child will need to provide base layers and shoes

• Everything else will be provided

Volunteers

• We need you! We can’t do it without you!

  • Please sign up via the audition form for a committee: Rehearsal help, Costumes, Green room, Concessions, Makeup and hair, Microphones, Stage Crew, Wall decor

• Weekly email sent out every Sunday night

• If a practice is running late, we will send an email (this rarely happens)
