Mission Statement

The PTO's mission is to enhance and maximize the education of every child while aiding them in achieving their highest potential. The goal is to complement the school’s curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, teachers and students to learn, socialize, communicate and grow. The organization supports, advocates and shows appreciation for the teachers and staff at Burton Elementary while maintaining a sense of community.

• Help to foster genuine feelings of belonging for every student. 

• Help to create a safe and healthy learning environment where all students can excel and feel confident in themselves.

• Help to create a sense of connectedness as we deal with the changes and challenges brought on by COVID-19.

• Understand the obligations and needs of our teachers, administration and staff and do what is possible to uphold and show appreciation for all of them. 

• Recognize the importance of tradition while acknowledging that change is inevitable and necessary for growth.
